FAQ
Product Questions
Q: What are these "Syrup Flavours"? Are these cordials or something?
A: Syrup flavours is just a bit of a generic name we use. Within our range, we have flavours suitable for use as a normal cordial, coffee syrups, ice cream toppings, milkshake flavourings, etc. The applications for our syrups are only limited by your imagination! You can even use the syrups for making cake icings!
Q: Your syrups are listed as a 1 in 6 mixture, which sounds stronger than normal toppings and cordials, however they are much thinner than the other manufacturers products. Why?
A: Good question! No, we are not trying to make people believe that our products are stronger than other manufacturers when they are in fact not. The reason why our syrup range is thinner than others is simple: We do not add any thickeners to our products to make people think our products are super concentrated. The only ingredients our syrup range contains are: water, sugar, citric acid, flavours, colours (where applicable), and a small amount of potassium sorbate as a preservative. Some of our products also have small amounts of preservatives from the juice concentrate, which are listed in the ingredients panel on the product.
Q: Ok, so what does 1 in 6 mean anyway?
A: 1 in 6 means that for every 1 part of syrup, we recommend adding 6 parts of whatever you are mixing it with. For example, mix 50mL Chocolate Syrup with 300mL milk to give a large 350mL milkshake. This of course, can be adjusted to taste!
Q: Your Lemon/Orange Mango/West Indian Lime/Mandarin/Orange products have what looks like pulpy stuff floating or settled out on top. What is this?
A: You answered your own question! It's pulp! These products use real juice bases that contain pulp. Just give the product a good shake (or invert a few times for the soft drinks) before use to mix it back in.
Q: Ok then, how about your Lemon Lime Bitters products? What's the reddish brown stuff?
A: That's another easy one! The secret to a good Lemon Lime Bitters is to use quality ingredients. Angostura Bitters is one of the ingredients in this products, and will settle out when left to sit for a while. As per the fruit flavours, just give the product a shake (or invert a few times for the soft drinks) before use to mix it back in.
